To start, I think I'll link the website to the artist who was a major inspiration to me in high school, and who sparked my interest in graphic design. His name is Rob Dobi, and he has had a major influence on the styles of current band t shirts in 2010. He doesn't do much work for bands anymore and instead opened his own online T-shirt shop, where he prints simple designs with simple ideas.
He also does a ton of photography of abandoned buildings and works as an illustrator.
